When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected beautiful coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But then I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a typical reef dive; this was an adventure into the past.

Honestly, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving is serious business. But the crew at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were incredible. The Divemasters gave us an excellent briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the history of the wreck, and what to expect below. Being in a small group instantly made me feel safe.

Descending was surreal. At first, it's a dark shape in the distance, and then it appeared. It is massive. It's now a bustling new home, covered in corals and swarming with fish. I spotted giant groupers hiding from the hull, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the superstructure. The feeling of gliding next to this giant, silent structure is indescribable—haunting, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It truly is a time capsule under the water.
